BoozeNation The Podcast - listen on - Apple Podcasts, iHeartradio, and Spotify

Hello

A little bit about me - I love; podcasts, traveling, Lonely Planet guidebooks, maps, true crime, books, Pepsi, cats, spicy food, more books, writing, fighting for the underdog, making lists, organizing, planning, and helping people make lists, plan and organize.
When I began traipsing around the world, I had no idea what I was doing. I thought landing in one city and making my way through the entire country would be easy. Instead, I quickly learned that traveling could be extremely challenging, especially with a fifty-pound backpack on my shoulders.
Long story short, I learned the importance of planning and mapping ahead the hard way. Now, organizing chaos is second nature to me. As a digital manager, I guide and facilitate by sharing my experience navigating the complex digital ecosystem and empowering others to leverage digital platforms effectively for growth and success.

An audio series about the year I backpacked through Europe is coming.

My podcast - BoozeNation The Podcast, is out!

I started my podcast because I want to have conversations with my restaurant and bar colleagues to discuss what happened to the industry during the pandemic - the closing, the reopening, the fear, the sickness, the loss of income, and the general sense of loss - there’s a lot to unpack. I also want to talk about what it has been like to deal with the public since 2016 - the Trump years.

You can listen to BoozeNation The Podcast on iHeartradio, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify.

BoozeNation The Podcast

In March 2020, as Covid-19 spread worldwide, a shelter-in-place was mandated in the Bay Area to stop the spread of the virus. As a result, bars, restaurants, and eateries went black.

As a bartender in San Francisco, I was unemployed like the rest of the country. I was consumed by stress, worry, and fear as I witnessed this country fall into mayhem. I heard about one bar or restaurant closing permanently after another. Usually, the owner couldn't afford the rent still bestowed upon them.

I watched in disbelief as my community – the bar industry - got kicked to the curb; no one at the federal level cared or was helping. (I know many industries got kicked to the curb during the pandemic). This lack of concern for our livelihood bothered me greatly. And honestly, things about the bar industry have bothered me since 2016 – the beginning of the Trump era. But, what bothered me was the heightened hostility towards me and my fellow bartenders, especially women, BIPOC, and LBGTQ peeps.

I started this podcast to hear from my colleagues about what happened to their jobs, their lives, and what they're doing now. And how the past six years behind the stick affected them.

BoozeNation The Podcast can be heard on Apple Podcasts, iHeartradio and Spotify.

“Knowledgeable, easy to work with, and quick to answer any questions, Traci is my go-to web consultant.  She not only managed to capture the essence of my small business so that my website looks and feels like me, but also did some research to help me figure out how best to incorporate downloadable forms.  A big asset for the little guy, thanks Traci!”
